Here is a very nice map that was sent in by Britman:

This is a small 1 vs 1 skirmish map

The two players start at opposite corners of the map and have to try and hold Red Rose Isle if they want any real cash. This proves quite difficult as there is little land to build on it, spare a derrick and refinery. The map was really created by me trying out some of the map editors features, meager as they are.Hopefully I will make something a little grander in the future.

To Install:
Copy the Red Rose Isle.aowmap file into the CustomMaps directory in your Act of War folder (i.e. C:Program FilesAtariAct of War - Direct ActionCustomMaps) When selecting your map in the game just select the Custom Maps tab and then Red Rose Isle

Feel free to distribute this map but make sure you give the credit to me

You made a very good map here. Lots of detail, good placing of oil wells, promoting early fighting, and excellent landscape design.
