Here is a map we had emailed to us from Warnstaff.

This is another VERY DENSE urban map. I worked for 8 hours straight on this. Vehicles are heavily restricted, but infantry can easily move about the map. Center has almost no chance that center could survive without all the resource buildings around it. They can't make any early advances, but are very tough to crack.

I download it...then there's no folder just the file. I put that file in my custom map folder and when I launch the game and look in custom maps...it's not there. Help? confused

just put the .aowmap file into your Custom Maps directory wink

And to Warnstaff no problem its my job big grin

I tried everything, but the problem is one it doe not come in a folder or zip folder to extract it comes in as central_terror.rar, but I even went as far as to change it to central_terror.aowmap like the Fredom Temple map format was and I got nothing there too. It doesn't show up in my custom maps directory (in game) when I am selecting maps??? I must be missing something here...I've downloaded every map you guys have and they all work just not this one. confused

Uhm, theres no Central_Terror map. My map does NOT HAVE _ in it. try renaming it Central Terror.aowmap

Also, does installing the game in a diffrent directory then the default effect it? Mine is not in the default directory. It's properly installed though.

What do mean there's no _ in your Central Terror map this is what they have listed in the American downloading server, plus it's only 622 kb...thought it was like 1.25 mbs??? Anyhow, I tried renaming and it didn't work.

Ignore that when you download it it will be 1.25 MB

You need to use a program like winrar to decompress the rar file. You will then see the folders he is talking about. rar files are another compression format like zip. You can get Winrar from http://www.rarlabs.com/
