7-Eleven Permanently Adding Videogames to Their Inventory
Fri, 21 Nov 2008 15:36:00 PST
World of Warcraft players certainly don't mind that 7-Eleven has been dabbling in the field of selling videogames. Thanks to the apparent disregard for street dates, WoW players were able to secure early copies (albeit not early access) of Wrath of the Lich King. The retail chain has announced that its recent sales of games like WoW, Halo, and Madden isn't a temporary holiday cash-in -- they're planning on permanently adding videogames to their inventory (via Joystiq).

Strong Bad: Dangeresque 3 Review
Fri, 21 Nov 2008 14:10:00 PST
The fourth episode of WiiWare point-and-click adventure series Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People digs deep into the established lore of the Homestar Runner universe, emerging with an interactive installment of our titular hero's homemade film franchise. Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective (sequel to nonplayable entries Dangeresque 1: Dangeresque Too? and Dangeresque 2: This Time, It's Not Dangeresque 1) is Strong Bad's latest contribution to the buddy-cop/action-film genre, riffing on the likes of Lethal Weapon and other established running themes like the two-weeks-from-retirement cop and the frequent need to jump from some height (after exclaiming, "It looks like we're gonna have to jump!").

A leak from Europe has claimed, and several sources have confirmed, that starting in January of 2009 all PlayStation 3 games will be required to support Trophies. Word of the initial leak came from VideoGamer.com, which cited an anonymous tip from someone in the UK game industry. Later, a representative of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe confirmed the information. We still weren't sure, however, what the mandate actually meant for old games.
